CD4

CD4 is a cell surface molecule present on T-cells in peripheral blood and secondary lymphoid organs. Expression of CD4 identifies a population of T-cells that augment the ability of B-cells to produce antibodies (helper T-cells) and also plays a role in activation of these T-cells after recognition of foreign antigens presented by antigen-processing cells (B-cells, macrophages, dendritic cells).¹ CD4 expression also identifies a population of T-cells that can suppress or regulate the immune response (T-reg cells).²

Zanolimumab
Therapeutic Candidate

Zanolimumab is a monoclonal antibody being studied for late-stage cancer therapy targeting T-cell lymphomas. It is a fully humanized IgG1 anti-CD4 monoclonal antibody that down modulates and inhibits CD4 activity on naïve T-cells and depletes memory T-cells.
